BATON ROUGE, LA: Seaside Health System of Baton Rouge, a behavioral health hospital, announced the appointment of Tammy Melito, RN as Director of Nursing and Michele Carr, RN as Assistant Director of Nursing. Clayton Aguillard, CEO for Seaside Health System announced the appointment of Melito and Carr their positions.
Aguillard commented, “Our behavioral health organization is pleased to have these two highly experienced and skilled nurses assume their roles in these key positions. Their knowledge of the mental health and substance use disorders treatment field is of the highest level and will be pivotal in our ongoing service to our patients and community.” Both Melito and Carr assumed their positions after years of service with the Seaside Healthcare System.
Tammy Melito’s career in nursing spans three decades. She earned her BS in Psychology from the University of New Orleans in 1992 and her AD in Nursing from Delgado Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans in 1995. She served as a Psychiatric Nurse with a New Orleans based hospital from February 2021 to July 2022 and joined Seaside Health System Melito Carr in July 2022. She is a native of Destrehan, LA.
Michele Carr has over 22 years of experience in the healthcare field having worked in the areas of rehabilitation, long term acute care and behavioral health services serving in the capacities of RN Supervisor, Charge RN, Assistant Director of Nursing and Lead Clinical Liaison. She earned her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans in 2000. Carr joined Seaside Health System in July 2022, is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and resides in Kenner, Louisiana.

BATON ROUGE, LA: Clayton James Aguillard, RN, BSN, BA, has been named to the position of Chief Executive Officer for the Baton Rouge, Louisiana behavioral health hospital, Seaside Health System. Franklin Roemer, CEO of Seaside Healthcare, announced the selection of Aguillard to the position. Roemer commented, “Clay’s extensive managerial background coupled with nearly two decades of service in the field of behavioral healthcare administration made him a strong candidate for this key leadership position in our company. We are pleased to have him Clayton Aguillard
as part of our Seaside Healthcare family as he leads our Baton Rouge facility into the future.”
Aguillard, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of New Orleans, Louisiana served as administrator for several regional behavioral health hospitals in his career as well as serving as president and CEO of a psychiatric consulting firm. His experience includes work in preparation for more than 20 Joint Commission surveys including holding of preparatory mock surveys and post survey compliance implementation. Earlier in his career, Clay also served as vice president of managed contracts and business development with Seaside Healthcare. His career background includes expertise in the field of regulatory compliance and financial goal setting along with strong team building skills and program planning and development.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from William Carey College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Loyola University and a minor in Business Administration.
